Step-by-step help for getting into your account, moving USDC, using the card, and sorting out anything that goes wrong.

Signing up and logging in

Create your account with your email address and an 8-digit one-time code, or continue with Google. On a supported device DEO also registers a passkey for you during signup, so next time you can sign in with your face, fingerprint, or device PIN — no password to remember.

When you log in, DEO uses your passkey first and falls back to an email one-time code if a passkey is not available; Google sign-in stays available too. To sign in on a computer with a passkey stored on your phone, scan the on-screen QR code with your phone.

For your security, your session locks automatically after 5 minutes of inactivity — just unlock with your passkey to pick up where you left off. Unlocking with a passkey that belongs to a different account switches you safely to that account. Sensitive actions like sending funds or issuing a card need an extra two-factor step, so enroll an authenticator app (TOTP) when prompted and keep it handy.

Sending and receiving transfers

To receive USDC, open the receive screen and share your wallet address or its QR code. The same address works on both the Base and Polygon networks, and incoming funds appear in your unified balance once they settle.

To send USDC, enter the recipient's wallet address and the amount, confirm the two-factor (TOTP) prompt, then approve the Circle challenge with your PIN. Transfers use Circle gas sponsorship, and for now we cover the network fee — you only ever move USDC.

After you send, DEO shows the transaction hash with a link to the Basescan explorer, and the status moves from Pending to Complete once the network confirms it. You can review past activity, labelled by type, in your activity feed.

Getting and using a card

A card requires identity verification first. Start KYC and complete the Stripe Identity check — a government-issued ID plus a selfie liveness capture. Your verification data is encrypted at rest and only decrypted on the server.

Once you are verified, issue a virtual card, backed by Stripe Issuing, to spend your USDC balance online. Issuing the card is a sensitive action, so it asks for your two-factor (TOTP) confirmation. After it is created you can view the masked card number, its temporary CVV, the expiration date, and the billing address in the app.

Top the card up with USDC from your wallet — this also needs two-factor confirmation — and the balance is reflected instantly. When you pay with the card, the amount is deducted, and you get a notification and an activity entry for the transaction.

Troubleshooting

Wallet setup did not finish? Try again — setup is safe to retry. If your wallet already exists, DEO simply resumes and finishes getting it ready. If you see a message that our team has been notified, that is a configuration issue on our side; note the reference code shown and share it with support.

A transfer was declined? An "insufficient balance" message means the amount plus any limits exceeds what is available, an "invalid address" message means the recipient address is not a valid wallet address, and a network error means the request could not reach the network — wait a moment and try again.

Can't complete a send, card issue, or top-up? These need two-factor (TOTP) verification, so make sure your authenticator app is enrolled and enter the current 6-digit code. If you are asked to enroll, add DEO to an authenticator app and try again.

Locked out or not seeing your data? Your session locks after 5 minutes idle — unlock with your passkey. Not receiving notifications? Grant the browser's push-notification permission so DEO can alert you about transfers, received funds, card transactions, and KYC approval.
